Millipore to open new facility in Singapore

US based Millipore has reported that it plans to open a new state-of-the-art applications and training facility in Singapore to meet the growing needs of its biotech customers who have operations in Asia.

The company’s Singapore facility will be located in Science Park, and is scheduled to open in early 2009. The facility will be designed to support biopharmaceutical manufacturing, continuing the company’s long tradition of providing technical support in products and services. The facility will allow local and regional customers to investigate, explore and optimize their separations, purifications and monitoring processes and be supported by local, regional and international experts.

Martin Madaus, president and CEO of Millipore, said: “Many of our large multinational customers and local manufacturers have made significant investments in Asia and this new facility continues and enhances the local support that we have provided over the past 25 years we have been in Singapore.”
