CDC and Sentry sign vaccine distribution contract

Sentry Logistic Solutions has announced that the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or CDC signed a contract to outsource storage and distribution of its national strategic reserve of the influenza virus vaccine.

Sentry will warehouse and distribute more than 500,000 vaccine doses from its pharmaceutical cold chain logistics center. Ensuring product integrity, supply chain security and fast, efficient distribution is critical in the storage and dispersal of disease-preventing vaccines.

Jennifer Marcum, CEO of Sentry, said: “The opportunity to provide this service to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention validates the value that we bring organizations that require highly specialized cold chain management programs for their drug products.”
