Bausch & Lomb acquires eyeonics

Bausch & Lomb, the global eye health company, has completed its acquisition of eyeonics, an ophthalmic medical device company headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California.

Eyeonics now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bausch & Lomb. Its crystalens intraocular lens (IOL), the first and only FDA-approved accommodating IOL for the treatment of cataracts, joins Bausch & Lomb’s portfolio of innovative ophthalmic surgical products for cataract, vitreoretinal and refractive markets.
