news.Illinois-based OSF HealthCare System has selected Missouri-based Amerinet as its exclusive group purchasing organization. The new agreement is expected to provide OSF with unlimited access to Amerinet's national portfolio of product and service contracts and proprietary total spend management tools designed to ensure optimization of a health care provider's financial resources.

The partnership will focus on total spend management solutions that provide savings opportunities on consumable supplies and purchased services. In addition, the agreement will result in the implementation of cost reduction initiatives through contract evaluation and utilization. According to Amerinet, OSF has group purchasing agreements with 120 affiliate hospitals, which will be afforded the opportunity to take advantage of the Amerinet contracts and services.
