Under the agreement, Baxa has exclusive sales and distribution rights for all worldwide healthcare markets for the MedKeeper software.
Baxa Corporation plans to launch the MedKeeper software tool at the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists mid-year meeting in Las Vegas in December 2007.
Greg Baldwin, CEO of Baxa, said: “We are excited about the opportunities that this agreement represents for improving pharmacy operations. The MedKeeper software complements Baxa syringe filling products and accessories, providing a means to track prepared doses to ensure that they reach their destination. The MedKeeper application provides pharmacy with the means to track the time it takes to prepare and approve drug doses, and subsequently follows them until they have been administered, preventing losses and reducing the need for calls from nursing to track orders.”
