news.Mission Pharmacal has launched the CitraNatal family of prescription prenatal vitamins that offers new formulas of essential vitamins and minerals for women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy and in the postnatal period.

The new products include CitraNatal DHA, CitraNatal 90 DHA and CitraNatal Rx all of which are designed to improve the nutritional status of women and their babies. CitraNatal Rx is said to be a multivitamin prescription drug containing a balanced dose of vitamins and minerals, including folic acid, calcium citrate and iron, as well as a stool softener.
CitraNatal DHA provides women with all the prenatal essentials of CitraNatal Rx, and also includes, 250 mg of Martek’s life’s DHA, a patented, plant-based form of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA, which has been shown to improve the pre- and postnatal neurological, visual and nervous system development of children.
