Achieve said that the research studies will enroll those already diagnosed with IBS, which includes symptoms like pain or discomfort in the abdomen, drastic change in the frequency or consistency of stool, feeling of urgency, or passage of mucus.
Achieve informed that in order to participate in the studies volunteers must be diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome.
Achieve Clinical Research principal investigator Hayes Williams said that through clinical research studies, they can build on data previously conducted on those currently diagnosed with IBS.
"Treatments for IBS are one of the research studies we are pleased to continue with at Achieve Clinical Research," Williams said.
"Our systemic evaluation clinical research trials are designed specifically to test the safety and efficacy of treatments for humans."
