PerformRx receives pharmacy benefit management contract from DGS

PerformRx will help the California Department of General Services provide efficient pharmacy benefit management services to portions of the state’s population covered by DGS’s statewide pharmaceutical program.

As per the terms of the contract, PerformRx provides pharmacy coverage for individuals from the California’s Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) who are in need of ongoing mental health treatment, and those within the California Division of Juvenile Justice Parole Operations (DJJPO) that are not currently covered under California’s Medicaid program, Medi-Cal.

PerformRx president Mesfin Tegenu said that they believe there is tremendous opportunity to decrease pharmacy spending at the California Department of General Services.

"Additionally, PerformRx looks forward to our partnership with DGS as we help to ensure the appropriate medication goes to the right member, at the right time," Tegenu said.
