China Shenghuo Q3 sales fall 19%

China Shenghuo Pharmaceutical has reported sales of $8.55m for the third quarter ended 30 September 2010, a decrease of 19%, compared to $10.56m for the same period in 2009.

China Shenghuo Pharmaceutical is a specialty pharmaceutical company that focuses on the manufacture, research, development and marketing of Sanchi-based medicinal and pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement and cosmetic products.

China Shenghuo has posted a net income of $787,657 for the third quarter 2010, or $0.04 per diluted share, compared to net loss of $31,924, or $0 loss per diluted share, for the comparable period in 2009.

Income from operations was $650,065, compared to loss from operations of $451,825 for the comparable period in 2009.

China Shenghuo has posted sales of $23.34m for the nine months ended 30 September 2010, compared to $25.46m for the year ago period.

For the nine months ended 30 September 2010o China Shenghuo has posted a net income of $758,820, or $0.04 per diluted share, compared to net loss of $6.77m, or $0.34 loss per diluted share, for the year ago period.

Income from operations was $998,444, compared to loss from operations of $7.04m for the year ago period.

China Shenghuo CEO Gui Hua Lan said that the decrease in sales was primarily due to their adjustment of the sales commission policy to decrease the commission to sales representatives to offset the pressure resulting from the increase of the price of raw material.

"The Company will continue to make efforts to promote the sales of our products and control our costs," Lan said.

China Shenghuo is engaged in the research, development, manufacture, and marketing of pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement and cosmetic products in the People’s Republic of China.
