Most recently, Downey was the CEO of Ketal Biomedical.
Before joining Ketal, he was the president and CEO of the US and Canadian operations of Solvay Pharmaceuticals (now part of Abbott Laboratories).
Arbor Pharma president and CEO Ed Schutter said that they are thrilled that Downey has accepted the opportunity to join Arbor and lead all medical related aspects of their company.
Downey said that he is very pleased to be joining Arbor and personally excited about the opportunity for this young company.
