news.Epocrates, a developer of drug and clinical reference solutions, has named Dave Burlington as the new chief operations officer (COO) of the company.

Most recently, Burlington worked as the group vice president of Applications and Technology at Taleo Corporation.
Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of Product Development for Comergent Technologies, which was acquired by Sterling Commerce in 2006.
Epocrates president and CEO Rose Crane said that Dave Burlington’s combination of technical skill and commercial leadership will be a great asset to Epocrates.
"He brings a fresh perspective and relevant experience from software and product-driven organisations in various stages of growth," Crane said.
