Prima BioMed names new chairman

Prima BioMed, a company engaged in developing anti-cancer therapeutics based on the technology of immunotherapy, has named Lucy Turnbull as the new chairman of the company, effective from 6 October 2010.

Turnbull has played different roles in her career including chairman of the New South Wales Government’s Ministerial Advisory Committee on Biotechnology (2001-2), a director of the Sydney Cancer Foundation (2002-6) and director and chair of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation (1993-2000). She is currently on the board of the Cancer Institute NSW.

Prima BioMed CEO Martin Rogers said that he is delighted to welcome Lucy to the board of Prima BioMed as new chairman. The rest of the board and management look forward to working closely with Lucy as we take our CVac immunotherapy cancer vaccine through late stage clinical trials.
