news.Takeda Pharmaceutical has decided to construct a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Hikari City in the premises of its currently existing Hikari Plant located in Japan.

The company is planning to commence the construction work from October 2010 and is expected to start operations in the fiscal 2012.
In the new plant, the company intends to manufacture the solid dosage formulation and oral pharmaceutical products.
Takeda Pharma claims that the new facility will be a 24 hour facility, where it will conduct a high volume manufacturing with a good range of products, while considering the environmental aspect.
Takeda Pharma president and CEO Yasuchika Hasegawa said that through establishing the manufacturing system which surely supports the products with high-quality, economical cost, and its stable supply, the company continues to realise its mission of striving toward better health of patients worldwide.
