State Of Vermont Selects Upp’s Emergency Management Software

Upp Technology has implemented its irmsEM (Emergency Management) software for the State of Vermont within three weeks of selection of the solution. The software helped the State’s RSS (Receive, Stage and Store) Warehouse become operational following just one day of training and distribute more than 2,000 piece of H1N1 personal protection equipment (PPE) inventory to hospitals throughout the state.

The company claims that irmsEM software helped Vermont state officials manage the receipt of H1N1 supplies from federally managed Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) and the distribution of inventory to the State POD network in an efficient and effective manner.

irmsEM Emergency Management solution enables state officials to view and control a centralized, single-view of all inventory in real-time as well as manage inventory replenishments, virtually eliminating inventory outages, said the company.

During a time of emergency, state officials can use the software to easily determine the inventory items necessary for the specific situation, calculate apportionments per region, distribute items to the correct locations and record all activities for accurate post-event reporting, said the company.

The company claims that irmsEM software is run on self contained, mobile hardware that requires no infrastructure to operate and is designed for worst case scenarios. The system allows for control of all inventory from a remote location, assigns work automatically and records all transactions in a database.
