The Natural Step Enters Into Agreement With Dow

To advance sustainability missions and goals

The Natural Step and The Dow Chemical has entered into an agreement that is expected to help both organisations to advance their sustainability missions and goals.

The agreement, which includes a multi-year financial commitment, will enable The Natural Step to expand its international presence with specific projects related to learning for sustainability, and accelerate eco-municipality efforts with communities around the world to help them chart more sustainable futures.

Neil Hawkins, vice president of sustainability and EH&S at Dow, said: “We have integrated The Natural Step Framework in the implementation of our 2015 Sustainability Goals. It makes sense to solidify our collaboration as we both continue to drive real change in the way people and communities live.”

David Cook, executive ambassador for the Natural Step, said: “This strategic collaboration between Dow and The Natural Step will allow us to focus on bringing more partners to the table. We are keen to work with a company that is at the forefront of science, and therefore has the strategic potential to be at the forefront of sustainability innovation. This is a collaboration that will be good for people and the planet.”
