Cadila Introduces Polycap In India

Cadila Pharmaceuticals has introduced 5-in-1 wonder pill – Polycap in the domestic market, reported Times of India.

The new pill is expected to be a combination of five drugs useful in treating cardio-vascular diseases, high BP, cholesterol, obesity and stress, as well as controlling heart attacks.

Polycap has been introduced in Indian markets this week. The company also plans to launch Polycap globally and could apply for registration in a few months to authorities in nearly 45 countries.

‘‘The product has huge potential for preventive action and we expect good response from doctors and users. Expectation is high due to credibility of extensive research,’’ reported the newspaper, quoting Indravadan Modi, chairman of Cadila Pharma.

The company is said to have conducted clinical trials on more than 2000 people at 51 centers in India.
