MediConnect Global, a provider of medical record retrieval, digitization and management for organizations and individuals, has renamed its personal health record (PHR) and consumer health portal, PassportMD, to myMediConnect.

The myMediConnect online portal gives individuals the ability to take ownership of and control over their own health by allowing for the extraction of key elements of his or her medical record into a simple user interface, providing a consolidated summary of patient’s complete health picture.
In addition to having access to a summary of entire health picture, myMediConnect members can maintain medical records of all doctor visits, connect with physicians, track progress towards personal fitness goals and know about healthcare issues.
MediConnect Global provides medical records services including retrieving patient records, organizing and digitizing collected data, and then providing it to users in HIPAA-compliant online environment.
myMediConnect users will have an advantage of being able to utilize MediConnect Global’s medical record retrieval and digitization services in order to build their personal health records.
Moreover, myMediConnect is also one of four PHR services chosen by the federal government to participate in a current Medicare PHR pilot program.
