Mission Pharmacal Introduces CitraNatal Harmony For Pregnant Women

Mission Pharmacal, a privately held pharmaceutical company based in San Antonio, has added a single dose, prescription prenatal vitamin with calcium citrate CitraNatal Harmony to its family of prescription prenatal vitamins.

Mission Pharmacal said that CitraNatal Harmony vitamins are specially formulated for women who require nutritional support prior to conception, throughout pregnancy and during the postnatal period.

Mission Pharmacal claimed that CitraNatal Harmony offers mom and baby essential vitamins and minerals, including 250mg of Martek’s life’sDHA, in one easy-to-take, vanilla-scented gel cap.

Reportedly, the plant-derived DHA found in several CitraNatal products is produced exclusively by Martek Biosciences based in Columbia, Maryland. DHA has been shown to support increased birth weight and size and enhance visual and cognitive abilities.

Mission Pharmacal is currently reformulating its prescription prenatal and prescription iron products to include a recently acquired and patented dual-iron technology.

Terrell Herring, president of the pharmaceutical division of Mission Pharmacal, said: “Many women suffer from discomfort during their pregnancies. We are pleased to provide these women added comfort and convenience with the launch of CitraNatal Harmony.”
