Prasco Signs Distribution, Supply Agreement With Axcan Pharma

Prasco has entered into a distribution and supply agreement with Axcan for authorized generic versions of URSO 250 and URSO Forte Scored family of products.

Prasco plans to market both the authorized generic versions in the US.

URSO 250 and URSO Forte Scored are approved by FDA for the treatment of patients with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC).

Thomas Arington, CEO of Prasco, said: “We are pleased to provide Ursodiol Tablets 250mg and 500mg to pharmacists and consumers. As a Prasco Authorized Generic, Ursodiol Tablets will provide patients with the identical experience as the brand product.”

Ursodiol Tablets 500mg and Ursodiol Tablets 250mg are AB-rated, therapeutically equivalent and substitutable for the brand, URSO Forte Scored and URSO 250, respectively.
