CDSCO Sets Up New Office In Karnataka

Procedural aspect for export clearance is still under process

Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in the Karnataka has set up a new office, which brings relief to the pharmaceutical companies. Now the state has two CDSCO offices, with one at the Bengaluru International Airport, and the other at the state drugs control office.

It is expected that the decision to establish a new office will cut down costs and remove delays for clearances for the pharma exporters. The procedural aspect for clearance is still under process. The central government is planing to strengthen the CDSCO by providing additional personnel.

Apart from this the Karnataka government has initiated a large scale modernization for manufacturing facilities in Bangalore. The facilities included in modernization are the drug test lab and the administration block, which is expected to be ready in six months.
