SoBran has signed a multi-year contract to provide managerial and supervisory personnel for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
Under this contract SoBran will support the day-to-day operation of the Animal Resources Center (ARC) and provide oversight of UT Southwestern ARC employees, the company reported.
Gregory Kelly, vice president of Biomedical Services Division at SoBran, said: “University of Texas Southwestern is one of this country’s premier biomedical research facilities, with four active Nobel Laureates. We are proud to be a part of the team and look forward to a long and positive relationship.”
The centrally administered ARC claims to manage animal vivaria in multiple facilities and is also responsible for procuring all animals used in teaching, research and testing programs, quarantining and conducting health surveillance of animals.
ARC also claims to provide veterinary care and husbandry to research animals, besides, conducting technical procedures such as surgery, post surgical care, radiography, necropsy, collection of tissues and body fluids.
