Merck Opens New Cosmetic Technology Center In Darmstadt

CTC offers ultra-modern technology, spacious laboratories and optimally equipped rooms for seminars and meetings

Germany-based Merck has opened a new Cosmetic Technology Center (CTC) at its Darmstadt site. The company said that in new laboratories and seminar rooms, customers now have the opportunity to inform themselves about the manifold applications of pearl-luster pigments, functional fillers and cosmetic actives, and about developing optimum formulations.

With the expansion, Merck plans to set new standards in customer service in terms of high-quality raw materials for the cosmetic industry.

Klaus Bischoff, head of performance & life science chemicals at Merck, said: “The CTC represents an important milestone on our path to establishing a global network of technology and training centers.”

The Darmstadt CTC offers ultra-modern technology, spacious laboratories and optimally equipped rooms for seminars and meetings. This is accompanied by the expansion of applications-related services. The CTC also offers customised seminars that are precisely tailored to the specific needs of individual customers.

The Cosmetic Technology Center in Darmstadt will work closely with six other Merck technology centers around the world, comprising Paris, Savannah, Georgia, Gibbstown, New Jersey, Taipei, Shanghai and Sao Paulo.
