news.Elekta AB (Elekta) has been selected by ProCure Treatment Centers, Inc., (ProCure) for its second IBA-equipped proton therapy center, which is under construction in suburban Chicago. Supporting the entire workflow, the solutions which include the image-enabled oncology information system (OIS), MOSAIQ, as well as XiO treatment planning system which will enable the facility to treat patients in a chartless, paperless environment.

“With MOSAIQ, Elekta brings proton therapy and radiation oncology expertise,” says Niek Schreuder, senior vice president of medical physics and technology at ProCure. “More importantly, Elekta shares ProCure’s vision of making the OIS the central hub of the entire therapy workflow.”
