Bosch Packaging Technology To Unveil New Filling Machines For Vials, Capsules

Bosch Packaging Technology, a supplier of holistic systems for packaging and process technology, is set to unveil MHI 2020 vial filler and GKF 1400 ASB 100% capsule filling machines at Interphex 2010 at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center in New York, reported Pharmaceutical Online.

Bosch Packaging said that the new MHI 2020 vial filling and closing machine is specifically designed to handle liquid pharmaceuticals in small batches, making it ideal for clinical trials and pilot production. It can handle multiple dosing systems without the need to retool for added efficiency and is able to perform in-process checkweighing.

Bosch Packaging claimed that the new auto-adjust functionality provides production parameter management without manual adjustments and its linear design contributes to a small footprint. The seamless integration of the MHI into various containment systems smoothes installation and completes the list of pharmaceutical industry requirements.

With production capacity of 84,000 capsules per hour the GKF 1400 ASB 100% capsule filler features automatic troubleshooting during production to increase output. The capsule filler features an integrated checkweigher that allows for quick adjustment of fill weight to maintain consistent fill weight through out the batch, said the company.

Tom McDaniel, president of Bosch Packaging Technology, said: “At Interphex 2010, we will demonstrate pharmaceutical filling machines with two in-demand products that solve unmet market needs: the MHI 2020 and GKF 1400 ASB 100%. We’ve already received initial positive feedback from the market about these latest developments and expect strong interest by Interphex attendees.”
