Impulse Monitoring will provide Nash Health Care with comprehensive intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) services, including real-time professional oversight by experienced physicians.
IONM assesses neurological function involving the brain, spinal cord and related nerve structures during such surgeries. Use of IONM facilitates the surgical process and can reduce surgical risk by providing alerts to surgeons of potential harm to the spinal cord or neural structures, said Nash Health Care.
Rick Guarino, chief medical officer of Nash Health Care, said: “It’s not enough for our facility to simply provide IONM to help protect our patients from adverse events in their surgeries. The added component of physician oversight is a critical level of additional expertise and assurance that our patients are getting the best care possible. When it comes to the very best in intraoperative neuromonitoring, we know we’ve aligned with a partner that we can completely trust.”
