In an effort to increase efficiencies and patient care for their referring providers, Clinical Laboratory Management (CLM) will educate physicians on the benefits of the MedLink TotalOffice electronic health record (EHR), a CCHIT Certified 08 Ambulatory EHR.
Additionally, CLM will inform physicians on the provisions available under HITECH, 2009 stimulus plan and under the 2003 Medicare Modernization Act. Providers may qualify for participating in the 2% e-prescription incentives and other incentives for Center for Medicare Services – quality reporting.
Practices utilizing the TotalOffice EHR and MedLink EHR Lite will be able to streamline lab ordering and results delivery directly from CLM into the electronic health record of the patient and workflow of the physician.
David Kahan, president of Clinical Laboratory Management, said: “The agreement with MedLink provides us with the ability to allow us to support our referring providers with the implementation of a CCHIT certified EHR system and provide them the tools they need to increase efficiencies in their practice and patient care as a whole. This agreement expands CLM’s network management capabilities being offered to health plans, radiology and long term care facilities.”
