news.MedLink International, a full service healthcare IT company, has entered into an agreement with Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology, a diagnostic imaging group with eight centers on Long Island, New York.

Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, referring physicians of Zwanger-Pesiri will now be able to access images and reports through the MedLink EHR and MedLink EHR Lite. In addition, referring providers will be provided with the added functionality of e-prescriptions, e-labs, scheduling, patient chart, messaging and alerts.
The integration streamlines e-radiology from Zwanger directly into the physician’s workflow, while providing valuable tools to enhance patient care, said MedLink.
As the Obama administration begins to provide more than $17 billion of stimulus funding to encourage use of electronic medical records, providers who utilize the MedLink EHR to access reports and images from Zwanger-Pesiri will be able to begin qualifying for some of the incentives, such as the e-prescription and quality reporting incentives.
