Merck Serono deploys Aegis’s Discoverant at Switzerland manufacturing facility

Aegis said that Discoverant is designed to help manage pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. It enables on-demand access to, and analysis of, data in disparate production data sources such as paper records, manufacturing execution systems, laboratory information management systems, historians, distributed control systems, Oracle databases and data warehouses in one validatable environment.

Aegis also said that Discoverant helps to provide process understanding which increases process predictability, streamlines manufacturing processes, reduces process start-up risks, contributes to improved product quality, decreases cycle times and assures compliance within GxP and FDA-regulated production and packaging environments.
