news.Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, an Indian specialty pharmaceutical company, has reported that the FDA has granted its subsidiary an approval for its abbreviated new drug application to market generic Roxicodone, oxycodone hydrochloride tablets.

According to Sun Pharma, these oxycodone tablets are therapeutically equivalent to Roxicodone tablets from Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals and are available in three strengths: 5mg, 15mg and 30mg.
Oxycodone is a narcotic painkiller used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain. This product is expected to reach the market shortly.
