eClinicalWorks’s electronic medical record (EMR) solution provides the ability to manage patient flow, access patient records in-house or remotely, communicate electronically with referring physicians, and send secure consult notes and clinical data. Users can easily access and review complete patient histories, including past visits, current medications, allergies, labs and charts, the company said.
eClinicalWorks has said that the EMR system will also help with reporting and clinical guidelines, and provide patient information, including problem lists, allergies, medication history and lab results. Unified with the EMR is eClinicalWorks Practice Management system, designed to streamline the medical billing process.
By working with eClinicalWorks, members of The Endocrine Society will be able to streamline internal processes, including scheduling appointments, creating electronic medical records, and billing. This allows healthcare providers to spend more time with patients and less on administrative duties, in addition to increasing the quality of patient data, the company added.
Girish Kumar, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks, said: “eClinicalWorks is devoted to delivering an EMR/PM solution that is versatile enough to meet the individual needs of medical facilities. The Endocrine Society’s support of this technology is a testament to the value of our system. We look forward to working with the Society to equip its members with the latest technology that will advance the quality of care delivered to their patients, including diabetes care guidelines directly in the EMR.”
