dbMotion and Allscripts form partnership

dbMotion, a provider of health interoperability and intelligence solutions, and Allscripts, a provider of software, services, information, and connectivity solutions for physicians and hospitals, have agreed to create tightly integrated connectivity solutions that allow physician communities to see a more holistic view of their patient's clinical record and to collaborate with providers throughout their community.

Under the terms of the agreement, Allscripts and dbMotion will develop joint solutions to present information in a seamless way to clinicians. Allscripts will offer the dbMotion solution to its more than 700 healthcare system and hospital customers for the benefit of ambulatory physician groups affiliated with, or employed by, those hospitals, thereby offering another tool to enhance patient care through better physician collaboration and information sharing.

dbMotion transforms care through the creation of a virtual patient record that logically connects patient information in existing systems throughout a community. This allows organizations to utilize the best clinical solutions at the point of care while enabling a cross-enterprise, integrated view of the patient’s care record, said dbMotion.

The dbMotion solution is a service oriented architecture based platform that enables healthcare organizations and exchanges to meaningfully integrate patient-centered information.

Peter McClennen, president of North America at dbMotion, said: “This offering will deliver information to Allscripts’s customers in a new, connected and interoperable way that will benefit their caregivers in community and hospital settings alike.”
