Kinetic Concepts and Carroll Hospital Group form partnership

The partnership combines Carroll Hospital Group’s new medical-surgical bed, Spirit Select, with Kinetic Concepts’s broad mattress replacement portfolio, which includes multiple products that are believed to provide superior skin management for pressure ulcers.

According to Kinetic Concepts, this combination provides hospitals with the flexibility they need to safely manage, handle and transport patients, increase patient mobility and, most importantly, reduce ‘never events’ such as hospital-acquired pressure ulcers and patient falls.

Manufactured exclusively by Carroll Hospital Group, the Spirit Select low bed is the new product offered by Kinetic Concepts’s therapeutic support systems (TSS) division.

Kinetic Concepts will be the exclusive rental provider of Carroll Hospital Group low beds and will offer service agreements on rental and purchased beds. The Kinetic Concepts TSS sales organization will help drive capital sales of the Spirit Select low bed through Carroll Hospital Group. Kinetic Concepts’s launch of the Spirit Select rental program will be phased throughout 2009.
