news.Canon USA, a provider of digital imaging, has acquired Virtual Imaging, a provider of diagnostic imaging solutions and a medical systems integrator.

Tim Martinson, president of Virtual Imaging, will continue to manage the day-to-day operations of the organization, and report directly to Joe Adachi, president and CEO of Canon USA.
Virtual Imaging serves large complex hospital organizations, imaging centers and private physician offices, and is the US distributor of Canon’s Digital Radiography Systems.
Mr Adachi said: “This acquisition will position Canon well for future growth in the medical imaging and healthcare marketplace. Having Virtual Imaging join the Canon family will allow us to better offer a comprehensive line of cost-effective Canon certified medical imaging solutions and services that can be fully integrated into an organization’s workflow and improve patient throughput.”
