Laureate, Selexis Expand Collaboration

Joint-marketing relationship provides streamlined access to a set of complementary contract services

Laureate Pharma (Laureate) and Selexis have continued their collaboration via a joint-marketing relationship. The expanded relationship provides streamlined access to a set of contract services to both the companies.

The companies said that the relationship offers the opportunity to generate productive, stable mammalian cells producing gram quantities of recombinant protein materials in as little as eight weeks, post transfection. In parallel, cGMP compliant manufacturing processes can be developed for a streamlined approach for the production of clinical-grade material.

Robert Broeze, president and CEO of Laureate, said: “We are pleased to be working with Selexis and their advanced approach to developing high performance production cell lines.”

Igor Fisch, president and CEO of Selexis, said: “Including Laureate in our network of manufacturing partners is of great benefit to our clients seeking a US-based manufacturer with a long history of successful cGMP compliant manufacturing.”
