Prior to joining Luminetx, Mr Kindberg served as divisional president for Durham, North Carolina-based Teleflex Medical, a medical device company.
Mr Kindberg has also held numerous senior management positions at CR Bard, Optical Biopsy Technologies, Richard-Allan Medical, Focal Interventional and Johnson & Johnson.
Al Gossett, chairman of the board at Luminetx, said: “The Luminetx board is excited to bring a professional of this level to lead Luminetx going forward. 2009 is going to be an important year for Luminetx, as we lay the foundation for continued growth to existing and new markets and Richard will lead that success.
