BioImagene has said that its iScan slide scanners address the challenges posed by traditional microscopy by providing a powerful, highly automated and collaborative platform that supports the entire pathology workflow to bring the practice of pathology into the digital age.
According to the company, the iScan line, together with the Virtuoso web-based software, provides an end-to-end solution for all stakeholders in the digital pathology workflow, including pathologists, histotechnologists, lab administrators and clinicians.
Gregory Loney, vice president of instrumentation at BioImagene, said: “The advent of the iScan family of instruments, plus BioImagene’s robust software platforms, algorithm development and service organization, creates a one-stop shop for clinical and research labs interested in introducing digital pathology to their workflow. We’ve designed the iScan to be readily integrated with other lab technology and priced it to be available to even the smallest lab.”
