Swissray wins US government contract for digital radiography systems

Swissray International, a provider of digital radiography systems, has received a new contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs to sell its complete line of digital radiography systems.

This contract allows any branch of the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration Medical Centers or government agencies to purchase directly from Swissray. With exercisable option years the contract could be effective until December, 2016.

Prior to being awarded this contract Swissray held a contract with the Defense Supply Center of Philadelphia. Swissray has installed its film-less direct digital radiography systems into many Veterans Administration Hospitals and Department of Defense Base Hospitals over the past nine years.

John Monahan, senior vice president of strategic accounts at Swissray, said: “We are very proud to have been awarded this contract. Swissray’s DR systems enable the provider to significantly decrease cost and increase staff efficiency and job satisfaction, while improving the delivery of patient care without expanding space. With our unique automated positioning system Swissray’s DR solutions offer the fastest patient throughput in the industry at the lowest radiation dose.”
