SynCare and Managed Health Services renew health services contract

SynCare, a provider of healthcare services, has extended its contract with Managed Health Services, a health maintenance organization, to provide intensive case management.

Managed Health Services (MHS), a Medicaid managed care company, serving SCHIP and Hoosier Healthwise members in Indiana engaged SynCare to assist the company in providing comprehensive care and support services to its pregnant members.

SynCare said that it will manage all of MHS’s obstetrics, which is approximately 9,000 deliveries per year and expand its current 3:1 return on investment.

Pat Rooney, CEO of MHS, said: “MHS is looking forward to continuing our partnership with SynCare for prenatal care coordination for another year.

“Our partnership with SynCare helps us keep our commitment to our members to improve their health and reduce pre-term birth rates in the communities that we serve. MHS recognizes the benefits and importance of prenatal care coordination and have been pleased with the results from the SynCare team.”
