Sohm India wins manufacturing license for generic pharmaceuticals

Sohm India, a manufacturer of generic pharmaceuticals, has obtained a direct manufacturing license for generic pharmaceuticals.

The classification and industry position allows for a significant increase in profit margins and scalability of manufacturing operations, the company said.

This license completes Sohm’s infrastructure development for the corporate manufacturing hub located in India. Global sales contracts, production and export of generic pharmaceutical preparations such as tablets, capsules, ointments, and liquids are fully operational.

Shailesh Shah, vice president of corporate strategy at Sohm, said: This authorization provides the company with a manufacturing capability that can be used for all of our products. Growth in generic pharmaceutical sales is expected to be strong in Africa, Latin America and southeast Asia and we are preparing now to take market share in these untapped and growing markets.
