Cellectricon and TAP sign collaboration agreement

Cellectricon, a Swedish biotech company, has signed a collaborative agreement with The Automation Partnership in the UK, a manufacturer of advanced automated systems for cell culture, sample management and high throughput screening applications.

Under the agreement The Automation Partnership (TAP) will co-develop and manufacture the DynaflowHT system, Cellectricon’s next generation high throughput ion channel screening platform. DynaflowHT will be launched and commercially available in 2009.

Jonas Ohlsson, CEO of Cellectricon, said: “We are excited to partner with TAP who are known for manufacturing industrial quality automation. To bring this fully automated high throughput electrophysiology system to the market is a milestone for ion channel screening. The system offers unmatched throughput, cost per data point and reliability/predictability.”
