KDH Systems Launches Automated Clinical Trial Patient Recruitment Solution

To improve the speed and reduce the cost of enrollment in clinical trials

KDH Systems has introduced PatientLocate, to change the paradigm of clinical trial patient recruitment. By automating the process of matching inclusion/exclusion criteria directly through hospital information systems, it is expected to yield more qualified patients in less time at lower cost.

GHN has been in use for four years at medical research sites, screening over 300,000 patients, of which 15,000 were successfully enrolled for clinical research, said the company.

Dennis Cryer, Chief Medical Officer of CryerHealth, said: “Pharmaceutical industry consulting firm specializing in patient recruitment and retention, this innovative system has the potential to substantially improve the speed and reduce the cost of enrollment in clinical trials. It can rapidly identify appropriate patients for screening and thus reduce the frequent, costly screening of inappropriate patients. Additionally, by reducing personnel involvement in the initial process, it represents a dramatic advancement over current methods of subject ascertainment and enrollment.”
