The product, Ibandronate Sodium tablets (150mg), is the bioequivalent generic version of Boniva tablets.
According to IMS Health, the Boniva brand and generic had US sales of approximately $486m for the most recent twelve months ending March 2012.
The company announced the availability of Ibandronate sodium tablets 150mg in cartons of three blister packs containing one tablet each (once monthly dosing).
