Symmetry Medical names new chief accounting officer

Symmetry Medical, a provider of implants and related instruments to the orthopedic device industry, has appointed Ronda Harris as its new chief accounting officer, effective September 1, 2008.

Ms Harris will assume responsibility for Symmetry’s consolidated financials, external reporting and standardizing global accounting.

Prior to joining Symmetry, Ms Harris served as assistant controller of General Electric’s consumer and industrial business. Ms Harris has received a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University.

Brian Moore, president and CEO of Symmetry Medical, said: “Ms Harris adds strong leadership skills and a proven track record in financial management to our already outstanding financial team. We believe her experience and accounting expertise will make major contributions to Symmetry’s financial and operating infrastructure.”
