Mr Teckman was recently president and CEO of Sutura, a medical device manufacturer in Orange Country, California where he led a successful turnaround effort.
Mr Teckman is a graduate of Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) with a bachelors degree in business administration.
Andy Goren, HairDX former CEO is moving to the role of chairman and co-founder.
Mr Goren said: “By bringing in an industry veteran like David Teckman, HairDX is poised to move forward as an innovator and leader in pharmacogenomics and healthcare R&D.”
