Breast Cancer Research Foundation awards grant to University of Michigan

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) has awarded a research grant to University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is funded through a sponsorship from Eisai.

The research will be led by the Director of the Breast Oncology Program, Daniel F Hayes for his work on behalf of the North American Breast Cancer Group (NABCG).

The Correlative Science Committee of the NABCG studies tumor markers and their role in determining a breast cancer patient’s therapy.

Eisai Product Creation Systems chief scientific officer Takashi Owa said the company is privileged to support breast cancer research and hopes to improve the lives of patients with cancer.
