news.Merck and Sanofi Pasteur's partner company Sanofi Pasteur MSD has named Jean-Paul Kress as the new president.

The company said the decision is still subject to the approval of board members.
Most recently, Kress worked as the vice president and general manager for Gilead France where he joined in 2006 as vice president of US sales and Marketing of Antiviral Business Unit.
In his carrier, prominently he has worked with Abbott, Smithkline Beecham and Eli Lilly.
Sanofi Pasteur president and CEO Olivier Charmeil said his leadership experience and dynamism will be strong assets to grow Sanofi Pasteur MSD’s market share and operating performance in Europe.
