Health Enhancement Products executes R&D contract with Battelle

Health Enhancement Products and Ohio-based Battelle have executed the first phase of a multi-phase R&D contract to develop dietary supplement and pharmaceutical market programs.

The contract aims to refine, analyze and synthesize the active molecules derived from Health Enhancement Products’ proprietary algal extracts.

The active molecules were the focus of the company’s patent application, submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The active molecules are believed to be responsible for the reduction in LDL cholesterol and increase in HDL cholesterol in test subjects.

Over the past two years, Health Enhancement has been conducting a variety of tests, studies and analyses to fully substantiate the efficacy of the active molecules and to verify their unique method of cholesterol regulation, among other healthful properties.
