MWV said its preservative-free pump solutions offer a five-fold mechanical protection system that assures germ-free pump dosing to the patient while providing shelf life similar to traditional formulations.
PFP N, a preservative-free metered nasal spray pump, delivers volumes ranging from 0.05 ml to 0.14 ml with custom volumes available.
Unlike other pumps, MWV said, PFP N does not use a silver or metal coil for sterilization, which can have a negative interaction with the drug formula itself.
PFP T, MWV’s latest addition to its preservative-free pump portfolio is specifically engineered for topical applications with delivery volumes ranging from 0.05mL – 0.14mL.
MWV Healthcare Medical Plastics vice president and managing director Sven-Uwe Hoehm said their PFP line of products is a great delivery solution for companies removing preservatives from their formulations, and now they can offer machinery redesign to aid in their transition.
