URAC grants full PBM accreditation for Aetna

The URAC accreditation program offers third-party assurance for employers and consumers that quality standards are met for consumer protection and empowerment, appropriate access to drugs and pharmacies, patient safety, and disclosure of pricing and contracting terms.

The URAC PBM accreditation assures that Aetna Pharmacy Management works in accordance with US standards for the design and operation of programs that help consumers safely and effectively take medications.

Aetna Pharmacy Management head Laurie Brubaker said they are proud to achieve full accreditation from URAC.

"Achieving this accreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing high quality pharmacy benefits and exceptional customer service," Brubaker said.
