AstraZeneca Seals Framework Agreement With EDB

Agreement gives AstraZeneca access to EDB’s entire global services portfolio

AstraZeneca has entered into a framework agreement with EDB that makes EDB one of the company’s selected suppliers in the IT services area. AstraZeneca has decided to consolidate the number of suppliers it uses by setting up framework agreements. The new framework agreement gives AstraZeneca access to EDB’s entire global services portfolio.

EDB’s subsidiary, Guide Konsult previously had a similar agreement with AstraZeneca, and the current agreement will now apply for the entire EDB group. Astrazeneca said that EDB’s services portfolio is well suited to the requirements of the company’s IT strategies.

EDB’s services includes industry-specific solutions, operating services and consultancy services. Its consulting business includes services in areas such as applications management, business intelligence, project management, systems development, systems integration and business development.

Johnny Rindahl, executive vice president of application services at EDB, said: We are extremely pleased that AstraZeneca has demonstrated its continuing confidence in EDB in this way. This expansion of our collaboration shows that the range of services EDB offers is a good match to the requirements that AstraZeneca has for its business. The agreement also opens up opportunities for us to supply services in areas that we have not previously provided for AstraZeneca.
